You Can Now Cancel Pre-Orders for Any Nintendo Switch Games 7 Days Before Release Date

Nintendo today announced that starting September 1 2020, users will now be able to cancel pre-orders for games prior to money being charged 7 days before release. According to Nintendo, users will be able to cancel a game that has a “Proceed to pre-order” button, while users won’t be able to cancel a game that has a “Proceed to purchase” button.

Please note that previously, the cancellation of the pre-order was not possible for any Nintendo titles and the money was charged immediately. But, now users can cancel pre-orders for games. Do note, you won’t be able to cancel a title that was pre-ordered before August 31, 2020.

In order to cancel a pre-order, you will need to head to the Cancel Pre-order button on the Pre-ordered product page. But do note that, titles which are not shown in the Pre-ordered product page can’t be cancelled. You can find more details here.
