With Astro’s Playroom a free gameplay demo is pre-installed on every PlayStation 5. The latest performance analysis from Digital Foundry reveals what the title has to offer technically.
As Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed a few months ago, a free copy of Astro’s Playroom will be preinstalled on every PlayStation 5 shipped.
In Astro’s Playroom we are dealing with a gameplay video that includes various mini-games. These should enable you to take a detailed look at the innovative DualSense controller and familiarize yourself with its new features. But what is technically offered in the course of the gameplay demo? The guys from Digital Foundry investigated this question as part of a performance analysis.
As it is said, among other things, Astro’s Playroom makes extensive use of the technical possibilities of the PlayStation 5 and is displayed in the native 4K resolution with 60 frames per second. In addition, you can enjoy the ray tracing support in selected mini-games, which provides additional graphic effects.
The editors of Digital Foundry also highlight the entertaining mini-games that give you a good idea of what creative developers could do with the features of the DualSense controller in the future. You can find more details and impressions of Astro’s Playroom in the attached video below.
The PlayStation 5 and thus also Astro’s Playroom will be available from November 12, 2020.
