On January 21st popular leaker OnLeaks through its Voice post showed us the high-quality cad render images of the upcoming Sony XPERIA 10 III smartphone. Now, the leaker has leaked cad renders as well new details about Sony’s upcoming Xperia device with compact form factor design. The new renders leaked today through a new Voice post shows the new Xperia Compact smartphone that is expected to be launch sometime in 2021.
According to the new report, Sony is working on bringing its popular compact range of smartphones which has been on hold since the launch of the Xperia XZ. The report also suggests that the upcoming Sony Xperia Compact will rival Apple’s iPhone 12 Mini.
The fresh report reveals that the upcoming Xperia Compact device will measure in at just 140 x 68.9 x 8.9mm with a 5.5-inch display. That is smaller than the 5.7-inch Xperia XZ2 with its 153 x 72 x 11.1mm dimensions but would be larger than the recently launched 5.4-inch iPhone 12 Mini (131.5 x 64.2 x 7.4mm).
The report further reveals that the upcoming Xperia Compact will feature a water drop both housing an 8MP selfie camera. On the back, the device is expected to feature a dual rear camera setup that could possibly include a 13MP primary camera.
The renders also show a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top of the phone, a volume rocker key, and a camera button. Lastly, there also appears to be a USB Type-C port at the bottom, along with a single bottom-firing speaker.
