In an effort to help people searching for nearby COVID-19 vaccine centers or sites. Amazon has rolled out a new feature for its Alexa voice assistant which can help you find nearby COVID-19 vaccine centers or sites. Yes, you can now use the Amazon Alexa voice assistant to find and connect with nearby vaccination sites and can also check for availability or schedule an appointment.
To find and connect with nearby COVID-19 vaccination sites just ask, “Alexa, where can I get a COVID vaccine?” or say, “Alexa, where can I get a COVID vaccine in Seattle?” and you will hear a list of locations close to you.
People can also say, “Alexa, call the first one,” to connect to a specific location directly and learn more about vaccine or appointment availability.
Amazon says that, as part of other helpful COVID-19 features of Alexa, people can also get answers to questions about vaccine availability and eligibility requirements for more than 85 countries.
Customers can also find their nearest COVID-19 testing locations by saying, “Alexa, where can I get tested for COVID-19?” Similar to the Find a Vaccine experience, customers can get more information about test locations by saying, “Alexa, call the first one,” to call the phone number provided for the location.
Notably, Amazon says Alexa has answered tens of millions of questions related to COVID-19 last year.
