Microsoft today introduced the all-new Aqua Shift Special Edition Xbox Wireless Controller for Xbox Series X|S. The new Aqua shift Controller features a surreal, color-shifting blue shimmer, textured grip on the triggers, bumpers, and back case.
”Aqua shift features a surreal, color-shifting blue shimmer that you need to see to believe. Playing with the way the prismatic color moves across our controller, you’ll feel like Aqua Shift comes to life in your hands. Inspired by the fantasy that gaming brings into our lives, we know this mystical beauty will add that magic your controller collection needs.”
Microsoft says that the new Aqua shift Xbox Wireless Controller is the first Special Edition Xbox Series X|S controller to feature rubberized side grips with a unique dual-color swirl on every unit.
The new Xbox Controller comes with the new Share button that can be custom mapped to capture screenshots, start/stop recording, or even to record what just happened. You can also connect the new Aqua Shift Special Edition Xbox Wireless Controller to your favorite gaming devices including Xbox Series X, Series S, and Xbox One with the built-in Xbox Wireless radio.
Notably, the new Aqua Shift Special Edition Controllers feature a 3.5mm stereo headset jack and a USB-C port to play & charge with the Xbox Rechargeable Battery (sold separately).
The new Aqua Shift Special Edition Xbox Wireless Controller is priced at $69.99 USD that’s around $5 more than the previously launched Pulse Red Xbox Wireless Controller $64.99. The new controller is currently available for pre-order in select Xbox markets worldwide and will finally be available for purchase starting September 1, 2021. Check your local retailer or xbox.com for more information.
To recall, Microsoft with the launch of the Xbox Series X|S in November also launched a new Xbox Wireless Controller in three options: Carbon Black, Robot White, and Shock Blue. Microsoft also launched a Sport Red Special Edition Xbox One Wireless Controller last year that was inspired by the world of activewear and sports lifestyle.
