Classic MMORPGS That Are Still Worth The Hype

Over the past few years, game developers have found new and improved ways for players to fully enjoy and experience different MMORPGs. With all the new games being released, it can be hard for players to decide which game to invest their time in. Despite all the new options out there, there are still plenty of old MMORPGs to this day that is still worth playing. There are some games that are just timeless.

Neverwinter

Neverwinter is a free-to-play MMORPG based on the fantasy role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons, released back in 2013. Whether you’ve been a fan of Dungeons & Dragons or not, Neverwinter will certainly suck you into the fantasy world of the Forgotten Realms campaign setting of D&D, and give you the full fantasy game experience.

You will be given different options to choose your character’s class and race to prepare yourself for all the quests, missions, and scary-looking monsters you will encounter along your journey. With its massive new update, Neverwinter offers a brand new experience that old and new players will definitely look forward to. Be a part of the growing community, and immerse yourself into the world of Dungeons & Dragons.

Old School RuneScape

Despite its release back in 2013, Old School RuneScape has managed to maintain a huge number of active players, even more than the first version of the RuneScape franchise released in 2001. OSRS has even been made available to play in both iOS and Android smartphones, bringing in even more players to the community. Despite its old combat style and graphics, the game gets regular updates, offering players new quests, mini-games, rewards, and so much more.

You can check out the massive OSRS map that shows all the different locations, information icons, and quest starting points to guide you, and it’s guaranteed that you will never get bored. Even though it is a slow-paced game, it is one of the reasons why players love it. You can play and enjoy the game at your own pace without feeling left behind.

Guild Wars 2

Guild Wars 2 was first released in 2012. It is considered to be one of the best MMORPGs of all time. Guild Wars 2 is a free-to-play game that gives you the opportunity to explore its massive world and participate in PVP events. If you like games that allow you to be more in control, then this game is perfect for you.

You can experience everything an MMORPG game has to offer, and even more. You can upgrade armor and weapons, go on quests, level up your character and skills, explore monster-filled jungles and deserts, interact and battle against other players, and so much more.

Even after nine years since its release, the community is still growing more and more each day. As a result, developers of the game have made it their mission to consistently launch new updates to keep the players entertained.

As exciting as new MMORPGs are, there are still a huge number of gamers that prefer playing old MMORPGs. The quality and gameplay of previous games just hit differently. If you haven’t tried playing any of the games mentioned above, then you are seriously missing out on the epic adventure it has to offer. Go get playing!
