EA has officially announced the Battlefield 2042 open beta dates.
The “Battlefield 2042 Open Beta will start between October 6-9, 2021. Early access is available on October 6-7, 2021 for all players who pre-order the game or are current EA Play members.” Also, the Battlefield 2042 preload starts on October 5, 2021.
In the Battlefield 2042 Open Beta, players will experience four Specialists, Webster Mackay, Maria Falck, Pyotr “Boris” Guskovsky, and Wikus “Casper” Van Daele.

Battlefield 2042 Open Beta will start between October 6-9, 2021. Pre-load begins on October 5 (at 07:00 UTC on all platforms), but not everyone will be able to access the Open Beta at the same time. Early access is available October 6–7 (start playing at 07:00 UTC on all platforms on 10/06) for anyone who has pre-ordered Battlefield 2042 or is an EA Play member. General access begins on October 8 (at 07:00 UTC on all platforms), at which point anyone can join the fight.
The Battlefield 2042 Open Beta is available to play on PC (via Origin, EA app, Steam, and Epic) and console (PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S). Please note, PlayStation Plus is not needed to participate in the Open Beta, however, if you’re playing on Xbox you will need to be an Xbox Live Gold subscriber.
The Battlefield 2042 Open Beta will only be available in English.
No, your Open Beta progress won’t carry over to Battlefield 2042 once it launches.

Battlefield 2042 will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and Series S on October 22, 2021. However, the PS4 and Xbox One versions will have more miniature terrain than the others, and multiplayer battles will be limited to 64 players instead of the maximum 128 on other platforms.
