Aegislash, the popular Pokemon that can transform between an offensive type and defensive type depending on what held an item it has, has been datamined in the latest update to Pokemon Unite and could be coming soon to the game after Trevenant. To see what moveset Aegislash might bring with it when it gets added to the game and other datamined details, keep reading to check out everything you need to know about Aegislash in Pokemon Unite!
Aegislash, a steel/ghost type Pokemon introduced in Gen 5, it’s known as a Sacred Sword Pokemon and can fight with either its sword drawn or sheathed. In battle, if it attacks with its sword sheathed, then Aegislash is heavily weakened. But if it attacks with its sword drawn, then it can instantly win battles against other Pokemon by cutting them in half.
The question on everybody’s mind after Pokemon Unite was unveiled is: how will Aegislash impact a metagame previously dominated by Smeargle? In our opinion, Aegislash and Smeargle are incredibly similar Pokemon. Both can be used as disruptive walls, allowing for all sorts of set-up for teammates.
According to an alleged datamine, Pokemon US and UK will soon get a new Pokemon to use in both events and raids. It’s none other than Aegislash, one of my personal favorites. Currently, it is unknown when exactly will it come out.
Even though at first glance, Aegislash may seem complicated to use, there are a few simple strategies that can be employed to make using it much easier. The most obvious of these is by using King’s Shield, but that’s only part of it. It’s actually even more useful in situations when you don’t need to counterattack immediately or if you can pull off multiple shields in a row.
