A new expansion has been released for Minecraft that brings you into the world of dinosaurs. You can use it to manage your own park. A trailer provides insights.
Mojang and Microsoft have released the Jurassic World DLC for Minecraft. It can now be downloaded for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android. The price is 1340 Minecoins, which is about $10.
With the Minecraft Jurassic World DLC, various innovations come into the game that turns the chunky title into a dinosaur adventure. These include 21 skins and more than 60 dinosaurs.
The mini-expansion gives you the opportunity to create your own dinosaur park, of course in the unique look of Minecraft. You go on expeditions to find DNA, build enclosures for the sometimes huge dinosaurs, bring them to life and train the new residents.
In addition, you should bring vehicles and your team of NPCs to use in Minecraft Jurassic World to solve disasters and to achieve a high score. On top of that, the creators pack a new item for character creation. This is the Blue Hoodie.
“Welcome to Jurassic World, the only luxury resort to feature dinosaurs,” write the creators of the DLC. “Craft and train dinosaurs, build exhibits, manage the park, and open it for business. Use vehicles and your team of NPCs to solve disasters or go on expeditions to find dino DNA. See how long you can keep the park open for a high score! Includes 21 popular skins and 60+ dinosaurs and hybrids.”
In the trailer below you can see examples of what to expect with the DLC. The T-Rex, raptors and giant creatures that prefer life in water are presented. There are also hybrid versions of the individual dinosaurs.
