How to Create Groups of Software (Games) on Nintendo Switch

The latest Nintendo Switch firmware update 14.0.0 has been released. The latest update for the Switch adds the new “Groups” feature to the All Software menu. The new feature allows users to organize their software by genres or developers. Using the new feature you can now create up to 100 groups with a max of 200 titles per group.

This update also brings improvements to the Bluetooth audio volume. The “Groups” feature allows you to group together your software by category. You can create a group by pressing the ‘L‘ button on the controller.

How to Create Groups of Software or Games on Nintendo Switch?

To create groups of software or games on your Nintendo Switch, make sure you have updated your system to the latest update version 14.0.0. After you have updated your system go and follow the steps given below to create a group of software on your Nintendo Switch console.

  1. From the Nintendo Switch HOME Menu, scroll all the way to the right and select All Software.
  2. Press the L Button to view your software by groups.
  3. The first time you create a group, you’ll get a popup where you can select Create New Group.
    • After the first group has been created, click the + Button to create a new group.
  4. Check all software titles that you want to add to the new group, then press Next.
  5. Re-arrange the software titles as desired, then press Next.
  6. Enter a name for the group, then press OK.
  7. The new group will be added to the list of Groups.

Note: All Software menus and groups are only available when more than 12 software titles are saved on the Nintendo Switch system. The same software title can be added to multiple groups.
