The infamous Kim Kardashian threatened to sue Roblox has been making the rounds again. The star had allegedly found an inappropriate in-game advertisement while playing Roblox with her son Saint. Saint alerted Kim Kardashian to the ad, and the two argued for a while before she eventually stepped down.
However, Roblox has since apologized and has taken the situation under its wing. Here are a few things we should know about Kim Kardashian’s lawsuit threat.
The infamous episode of Burn Them All to the Ground focuses on the conflict between the two. Although Roblox has tried to keep sexual content off its platform, it has become too popular and large to moderate.
In fact, half of its 30 million players are under the age of thirteen. This means that children can stumble upon inappropriate content without any parental control. Also, Roblox’s safety filters are not always very effective, and rogue developers have found ways to bypass them.
However, the episode was short-lived. During the premiere episode of The Kardashians, Saint West showed Kim Kardashian’s ad on Roblox. Kim Kardashian was horrified and threatened to sue the platform. She apologised, but Roblox quickly responded with alleged “undetected footage”.
