THQ Nordic today announced the official release date for the Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed, the sequel to last year’s Destroy All Humans! sci-fi action game. As per the announcement, the Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed will launch officially on August 2, 2022.
The game’s release date was confirmed by developer THQ Nordic, which unveiled a new trailer and revealed the official PC system requirements. Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed takes place in the 1960s, with the world spanning across Japan, America, and the UK.
The game also features a broader open world and the ability to hoover up human life, and grind up captured victims into DNA cocktails.
Unlike its predecessor, this game doesn’t follow a linear narrative, instead allowing players to explore vast levels free of enemies. This time around, Crypto can call his ship to his desired location or park it in a designated parking spot. Completing challenges in the game will unlock new weapons and saucer landing pads.
This remake is not a complete rehash of the original game, but it does have a new UI and tight controls that make it feel more like a modern third-person action game.
This is a welcome change of pace from the game’s predecessor, which lacked both variety and depth. Destroy All Humans! Reprobed is the sequel to a popular sci-fi action game, so it’s a welcome return.
