Skullgirls 2nd Encore is coming to the Xbox Series X and Xbox One in 2022. Developer of the game today announced that the Skullgirls 2nd Encore and the Season 1 Pass which is currently in development, will be available as an update for the Nintendo Switch.
”We are excited to finally confirm that we are actively developing Skullgirls 2nd Encore and the Season 1 Pass as an update for the Switch and as a new release for Xbox One & Xbox Series X! Although we can’t confirm a release date at this time, we are currently targeting later this year!” the official Steam page reads.
The game has already been released on PS3, PS4, Vita, Xbox 360, and PC, and it will now be coming to next gen Xbox Series X and Xbox One console in 2022, however, there is no exact release date yet. Skullgirls Mobile is available for iOS, Android, and Arcade.
The game is also getting a new DLC character called the Black Dahlia. It will be available at Combo Breaker 2022, a fighting-game convention in Schaumburg, Illinois, May 27-29, 2022. There is also one more DLC character in the Season 1 Pass yet to be revealed…
Developer Hidden Variable have also released the alpha gameplay trailer for Skullgirls 2nd Encore and Skullgirls Mobile Season 1 Pass DLC character Black Dahlia.
For fighting game fans, the year 2022 will bring a slew of new titles and updates for fan favorites. The year will also see the 15th mainline entry in the Tekken fighting game franchise, a re-release of an anime fighter, and a new brawler based on a Korean MMORPG. This is a promising list for the fighting game community.
