The developer, Frost Giant Studios during their Summer Game Fest showcase announced Stormgate, the new RTS game coming in 2023.
The upcoming RTS game called “Stormgate” is a remake of the popular video game from 2009. The story takes place in a future Earth where an alien race called the Infernals emerged through dormant Stormgates. After destroying nearly all of humanity, the human race battled back, but the conflict eventually led to the devastation of Earth.
The game studio promises multiple factions on top of the two we have seen so far, three-vs-three competitive multiplayer, and no NFTs.
The developer, Frost Giant Studios, is a group of ex-Starcraft developers who have a wealth of experience in RTS games. They use the Unreal Engine 5 to create the game’s high-quality visuals and support for hundreds of units during large-scale battles.
The game will be free to play and will have no NFTs. Players can choose to play the campaign alone, or with a friend or two. There will also be 1 vs. 1 PvP, and the game will also feature a graphical editor.
Developed in Unreal Engine 5, Stormgate will feature 4K visuals and hundreds of units in epic large-scale wars. With its custom-simulation technology, the game will be responsive and rewarding to control.
In addition to a rich multiplayer experience, Stormgate will also feature cooperative and competitive ladder modes. Players can even participate in a beta version of the game by signing up here, and it will be free to play.
