Android 13 Starts Rolling Out for Pixel Devices

The latest Android 13 operating system update is now rolling out to Pixel devices today. The Android 13 update is mostly an incremental improvement over the previous version, which was first announced at the I/O developer conference in May. Some of the new features in Android 13 include the ability to set different languages for individual apps, a redesigned media player, support for Bluetooth Low Energy, and improved sound quality and latency. The update also adds support for drag-and-drop multitasking, as well as palm rejection when using styluses.

Among other features in Android 13, you can customize non-Google apps’ icons, turn off app notifications, and use the built-in voice assistant. The new version of Android also offers the ability to limit which apps can access photos.

While this update is not expected to arrive on non-Google devices for several months, it should be available for Pixel devices today. The update will also be rolling out to other manufacturers’ devices later this year.

Google has released the first stable version of Android 13 for Pixel devices. The OS is now available for download via the Android Open Source Project and is expected to roll out to other devices later this year.
