The Hitman trilogy has undergone a big change since the release of Hitman 3. This new game will be renamed to Hitman: World of Assassination, but the series will continue to evolve.
In a recent announcement, IO Interactive revealed that the next installment of the popular game franchise would be renamed. Hitman III will be rebranded to Hitman: World of Assassination on January 26, 2023.
As the third installment of the series, Hitman 3 continues the story of professional assassin Agent 47. Players will follow Agent 47’s mission to get revenge against Providence, who turned him into an assassin.
Aside from the main gameplay, the third installment also features a Contracts mode. In this mode, players can earn money to upgrade their weapons and buy new disguises. They can also challenge their friends to compete against assassins from around the world.
While a lot of the content is available for free, the game will cost $70 to play. It will include the game’s Deluxe Pack which will cost $30 and will include the Standard Access Pack, the Hitman 2 Expansion Access Pass, H3 Seven Deadly Sins Collection, and the H2 GOTY Access Pass. Those who already own the game will be able to receive a free upgrade to the World of Assassination version.
To download the game, you’ll need an IOI account. After logging into your account, you’ll see a pre-game options window that you can click on. You’ll be able to choose whether to import your previous Hitman 2 game profile and progress or to start from scratch.
