After years of speculation, Nintendo has shadow dropped a lone Metroid Prime remaster that is out now on the Nintendo eShop. Featuring HD graphics, new controls and other improvements, Metroid Prime Remastered is now available on the Nintendo Switch console for $40.
Originally released on GameCube in 2002, Samus Aran took her first steps into 3D on this sci-fi adventure that has since been followed up by two sequels (Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption). It’s the first 3D adventure for the iconic bounty hunter, and is an essential entry in the series.
The original release was a massive hit with gamers, and is arguably one of the best games ever made for the GameCube. With its revamped visuals, audio and control scheme, the remaster is a must-buy for any fan of the series.
Metroid Prime is now available on the console’s eShop for digital purchase. With improved graphics, a new dual-stick control scheme and a control style that mimics the original, this game is sure to please players of all ages.
What’s more, the remaster will also feature a variety of other control schemes ranging from the GameCube to Wii controllers, allowing you to play the game in the way that is most comfortable for you.
Metroid Prime Remastered is available on the Switch console now, with a physical copy set to launch later this month. This will be the first time that a Metroid Prime game has been playable on the handheld system, so if you’re looking for more of Samus Aran’s adventures on the go, this is the perfect game to pick up.
