Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is one of the most anticipated games of 2023 and Team Ninja is offering players a chance to try it out a week before the game launches. This demo launches February 24 and will allow you to transfer your save data to the full game, as well as give you some bonus gear for completing it.

The game is a Soulslike RPG that takes a new approach to combat, much like the previous Nioh games. Unlike the more traditional Soulslikes of the past, Wo Long is designed to make combat more manageable with the help of a new system called Morale.

This system will allow you to focus your character on certain skills and spells based on your chosen phase. Each phase improves specific stats from health and defense to magic durations and stealth. As you level up, you’ll be able to acquire Wizardry Spells that will increase your spirit meter, which you’ll use to summon powerful spirit creatures.

During our hands-on session with Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, we saw that the game’s combat felt a bit more accessible out of the gate than Nioh 2. We liked that the system made a lot of sense and didn’t require us to bang our heads against a wall until we got the hang of things.

There’s a lot of variety in Wo Long’s combat, too. From melee weapons and ranged attacks to magical attacks and spells that use Qi, there’s a good amount of choice here.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is scheduled for release on March 3, 2023 on Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
