Power Efficiency

Nvidia’s new RTX 4070 graphics cards come with a much smaller footprint than their predecessors and this has an impact on the GPU’s overall performance. As such, it can run at a lower clock rate and consume less power than their predecessors.

Ray Tracing

Compared to its predecessor, the RTX 4070 includes 46 ray tracing units which are responsible for improving a game’s visuals by adding more realistic lighting and shadows. It also features 184 Tensor Cores which are dedicated hardware units that accelerate AI-based computations.
