Capcom’s iconic beat ’em up franchise is getting a reboot with the release of Street Fighter 6, which looks set to dazzle and delight. The announcement trailer features an energetic hip-hop track and a bunch of players going to town on their opponents, all while looking stunning.
The game is releasing on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X and Series S, as well as PC. As such, it stands to reason that the game’s PC requirements are going to be a little higher than what is required on consoles.
Thankfully, the recommended specs don’t seem too outrageous by today’s standards. For example, the AMD GPU requirement is a bit lower than what was needed for Mortal Kombat 1’s minimum system requirements, while the CPU and RAM requirements are much more reasonable. In addition, Street Fighter 6 isn’t demanding as much storage space as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor did when it launched.
In addition to the recommended specs, Capcom is also releasing a Deluxe Edition and an Ultimate Edition of the game. The former offers a Year 1 Character Pass with additional characters, while the latter offers extra gameplay bonuses like additional character sprites and the ability to unlock two additional stages.
Interested gamers can pre-order Street Fighter 6 now on Steam. The game will launch on June 2, 2023. An open beta is also planned ahead of its full launch, which will start on May 19.
The beta will be available to those who register for it through a participant lottery. Those who do so must agree to the terms and conditions, as well as be 18 years old or have permission from a legal representative to participate in the closed beta test.
