In exciting news for Halo fans, the highly anticipated Halo MCC July 2023 update is set to release on July 12, 2023. This update brings a host of new features and improvements to enhance the gameplay experience across the Master Chief Collection. Among the highlights are the addition of the Halo 4 Theater Mode, Firefight improvements, and much more.

One of the key features introduced in this update is the ability to custom map your controller for the full suite of games. Whether you’re playing the classic titles or diving into the world of Halo Infinite, MCC has you covered with a control scheme that suits your preferences.

In addition to controller customization, Halo 3 is receiving an all-new gametype called Escalation Slayer. This exciting race-to-the-top game mode adds a fresh twist to Halo 3’s multiplayer experience. Players will compete to prove their skills and emerge victorious, regardless of the weapon(s) they choose. Get ready for intense battles and thrilling showdowns in this new addition to the Halo 3 multiplayer roster.

Another notable feature in the July 2023 update is the inclusion of custom gamepad remapping. Each game within the MCC now allows players to create a single custom preset. Starting with any built-in preset from the respective game, you can modify it to your heart’s content and save it as your personalized control scheme.

The update also brings improvements to the background video selection feature. With mod support now fully integrated, players can select their preferred background videos, and any bug causing reset selections upon relaunching the game has been resolved. This means you can enjoy a customized visual experience while playing with EAC (Easy Anti-Cheat) enabled.

Furthermore, the hunt for golden moa statues continues with the addition of Moa Madness to Halo 2. Each MCC update has introduced collectible golden moa statues in various campaign levels, and now Halo 2 joins the lineup. Each week, three levels will feature a golden moa statue waiting to be found. Sharpen your skills and embark on the Great Journey to locate these elusive treasures.

For fans of Halo: Combat Evolved, the Acrophobia skull has been included in the update. This unique skull allows players to soar through campaign levels, adding a new dimension to the gameplay experience. Coupled with the Blind skull, which disables the HUD and weapon model, you can become a flying camera and capture stunning screenshots in pre-Theater games like Halo: CE and Halo 2.
