Nvidia 4070 Super Performance Benchmark Leaks Out, Teasing Impressive Performance Boosts

As January unfolds, ushering in the much-anticipated CES month, tech enthusiasts are on the lookout for exciting announcements from leading companies. Nvidia, a prominent player in the tech industry, has recently joined the pre-CES hype by offering a sneak peek into its upcoming 4000 Super series GPUs. The company, known for groundbreaking graphics technology, recently teased its latest products through a captivating Facebook cover photo, setting the stage for heightened expectations.

The Super series, a relatively uncommon occurrence in Nvidia’s product launch history, was first introduced with the 2000 series. This marked a refresh of the 20-series, featuring upgrades such as increased CUDA cores and, at times, expanded VRAM. Nvidia seems to be following a similar strategy with the upcoming 4000 Super series, addressing one of the major concerns raised by the tech press—the adequacy of the memory buffer for the given price points.

As the official announcements draw near, Nvidia and its partners have commenced rigorous testing of the GPUs. The much-anticipated performance details of the RTX 4070 Super have now surfaced, thanks to Benchleaks’ discovery of two Geekbench entries for the GPU.

The RTX 4070 Super underwent testing in both OpenCL and CUDA, delivering impressive scores of 195,384 and 219,237 points, respectively. While these scores don’t directly reflect the 3D rasterization or ray tracing performance, they often align closely with the overall graphics card output.

Courtesy of information obtained by Wccftech, a glimpse into how the new RTX 4070 Super stacks up against its counterparts—the RTX 4080, RTX 4070 Ti, and the vanilla RTX 4070—is now available. Aligned with the expected specifications, the 4070 Super positions itself between the 4070 and the 4070 Ti. Unfortunately, the leaked numbers do not provide a comparison with AMD cards, leaving enthusiasts eagerly awaiting additional benchmark leaks or the review NDA uplift for a comprehensive assessment.

As the tech community braces for the official unveilings and further benchmark leaks, Nvidia’s 4000 Super series is shaping up to be a promising addition to the GPU landscape.
