The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon, a new action-adventure RPG from developer Nihon Falcom, launched yesterday on Steam, and the game quickly earned a 93% positive rating from early players.
This is the 13th game in the long-running Trails series. The game features a triple-protagonist system that allows players to switch between Van Arkride, Rean Schwarzer, and Kevin Graham to explore a huge story with political twists.
The Gameplay mixes real-time fighting with turn-based tactics. Players battle in hybrid combat, solve puzzles, and dive into a 70-hour epic full of high-tech training and dungeon adventures.
It hit a peak of 1,977 players on launch day. With 61 reviews so far, and it sits at 94% positive overall.
Publisher NIS America brought it to the West for Nintendo Switch 2, PS4, PS5, and PC. The PC port by PH3 GmbH runs smoothly at 60fps and works great on the Steam Deck.
