  • You can afford to make your tone slightly more casual in a blog but it should still be quality content. It is important that readers trust that you know what you’re talking about. Perhaps look for surveys and statistics that relate to what you’re trying to say and to give your blog more authority.

  2. Nice article with some good points – especially about not being afraid to go in depth. I found this bullet a little ironic since the post isn't that in depth, but it's a good subject to bring up. Too many blogs feature the same topics and almost the same articles as their peers. You need to differentiate yourself by pushing out content that goes in depth while bringing up questions to spark debate. This is how you foster community discussion and get returning readers.
