AMD Launches Athlon 220GE and Athlon 240GE with Radeon Vega Graphics Processors

AMD has finally launched its two new Radeon Vega graphics processors under its Athlon range, which were announced back in September along with its 200GE chip, which was the only chip made available since then.

However, AMD has now launched the rest two Athlon 220GE and Athlon 240GE Radeon Vega graphics processors. The all three new Athlon processors including the 200GE chip are based on AMD’s Zen microarchitecture and feature built-in Radeon Vega graphics.

The new 220GE and 240GE models integrate SMT-enabled 2 CPU Cores and 4 threads operating at 3.4 and 3.5 GHz frequency (respectively).

The SoCs also features a Radeon Vega iGPU featuring 192 stream processors operating at 1 GHz, 1 MB L2 cache, 4 MB L3 cache and a dual-channel DDR4-2667 memory controller. The three processors are built on the 14n process.

Moreover, both the two Athlon 220GE and Athlon 240GE CPUs also support motherboards based on AMD’s 300 and 400-series chipsets.

Coming on the pricing of the three new processors, the Athlon 200GE (3.2 GHz) has been priced at $55, the Athlon 220GE (3.4 GHz) on the other hand has been priced at $65 and last but not the least, the Athlon 240GE (3.4 GHz) comes with a price tag of $75. In the pricing of the three processors, we see a $10 increase.

The three new Athlon processors are expected to be available for purchase from the leading retail stores.
