If you own a OnePlus 5 or OnePlus 5T smartphone you can now update it to the latest Android 9 Pie update. OnePlus has now finally started rolling out the Android 9 Pie update for the OnePlus 5/5T in India. The Android 9 Pie update brings several new enhancements to your device including, brand new UI, navigation gestures (Available for OnePlus 5T only), and December security patch.

Additionally, the Android 9 Pie update also adds new gaming mode 3.0, which add text notification mode and notification for 3rd party calls. The update also brings the Do Not Disturb (DND) mode with adjustable settings and integrates Google Lens mode to the camera app.
The Android 9 Pie update is incremental and it’s not yet available via offline mode, so you won’t be able to flash it manually. Since the update is rolling out via OTA it might take few more days to reach on your device. I recommend you to wait for a title while if you haven’t yet received the update on your OnePlus 5/5T.
What about OnePlus 3/3T?
If you are using OnePlus 3 or OnePlus 3T and waiting for the Android 9 Pie update then I think you will have to wait a little longer.
Replying to users query on its official Twitter account OnePlus, replied that, ”As of now we do not have any official confirmation regarding this. We request you to stay tuned to our forums and social media channels for future updates.”
