Earlier today we reported that Huawei Y9 (2019) will be launching in India soon as Amazon exclusive. The official product page of the device also vent live today on the Amazon India website but with no release date. Now, the company has confirmed the launch date by sending out media invites. The media invite sent out later today, confirms that the new Huawei Y9 (2019) will be launched in India on January 7 and will be sold exclusively through Amazon India online store.
The Huawei Y9 (2019) smartphone was first launched back in October in China and later made its way to other Asian countries including Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia.
Huawei Y9 (2019) Specifications
The key highlights of the device include a 6.5-inch display with a notch, dual rear and front cameras, Kirin 710 SoC, 4,000mAh battery, GPU Turbo, and Fingerprint 4.0.
The device comes in two RAM and storage options, 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. The storage is expandable via microSD card up to 400 GB.
In the camera department, the device features 13-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The phone also features a dual camera set up at the front as well, with a 16-megapixel main sensor and another 2-megapixel sensor. Both the camera setups are claimed to come with some AI-based features.
The device packs a 4,000 mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.2.
The Indian pricing of the Huawei Y9 (2019) hasn’t been confirmed yet and it will be announced at the launch event on January 7.
