Xiaomi has been a popular brand in India as well as in another part of the world for its cheap and high-end specs packed smartphones. The company has launched so many devices so far under its Redmi brand and it’s really popular amongst users. Xiaomi now seems to be giving Redmi its own identity by making it an independent brand. Xiaomi via its official Weibo account has announced that it will announce Redmi as an Independent brand on January 10 at an event held in China.
Looks like, Xiaomi wants to come up with its new brand to launch its future smartphones in 2019. Some recent rumors have suggested that Xiaomi is soon going to launch another cheap variant smartphone, like the POCO F1 phone with high-end specs, that will feature a 48MP rear camera. The shared poster also shows “4800” words on the logo reflection, hinting towards a new Redmi phone with a 48MP rear camera.
The expected device may be launched under the new Redmi brand and it is expected to be the Redmi Note or maybe some other device. However, we are not yet sure about the next smartphone that Xiaomi will launch under its new Redmi brand.
