ASUS ROG Dominus Extreme is an upcoming motherboard from Asus for enthusiast gamers and content creators. ASUS ROG Dominus Extreme is a heavily loaded motherboard with an extream overclocking feature. The motherboard was previously expected to be priced at around $1,500. But now it appears that Newegg has listed the Motherboard priced at $1,888.
This is also the only motherboard available that supports Xeon W-3175X Processors. However, GIGABYTE will also be launching soon its own version of the motherboard to support the W-3175X Processors.
Other than the W-3175X Processors, the ASUS ROG Dominus Extreme uses LGA3647 socket standard for other Xeon processor line. The LGA3647 socket enables the support for the Xeon Platinum 8170 (a 26 core part), the Xeon Gold 6142 (16 cores) and the Xeon Gold 6138 (20 cores) Processor. There are also chances that Asus will bring support for more Xeon processors in the future.
The ASUS ROG Dominus Extreme features six Memory slots with additional power cooling, 8-pin power connections for the CPU and motherboard, multiple DIMM.2 drive support and multiple network connectivity options, plenty of fan headers and SATA ports and dual U.2 ports as well, check out the image below.
ASUS ROG Dominus Extreme is now up for pre-order for $1,800 in the US with a release date of February 22nd.
