Samsung recently launched its new Galaxy S10 line up, including the Galaxy S10, S10e and 10+. Samsung also took the same stage to launch its first Galaxy Fold smartphone. Now its Huawei’s turn, the company recently announced that it will hold a live event on February 24, 2019, at MWC 2019 to unveiled its first foldable smartphone, but it didn’t reveal the name and the other details about the device.
Now, a new image has been posted by Twitter user giving us the first glims of the Huawei’s upcoming foldable device. The image shows some workers installing the display banner, which contains the picture of Huawei’s upcoming Foldable smartphone.
The poster also reveals that Huawei’s’ first foldable device will be called as Huawei Mate X and it will be the world’s first 5G enable foldable phone. The upcoming foldable phone from Huawei is likely to come with an in-display fingerprint sensor, but the poster image reveals that the phone will also include a side mounted fingerprint reader as well.
Although, Huawei’s foldable phone on the leaked poster looks a bit different from Samsung’s Galaxy Fold smartphone. The phone appears to be coming with a single exterior display wraps around the exterior of the phone. However, we don’t have any of the specs details about Huawei’s upcoming foldable phone as yet.
To recall, Xiaomi is also working on its first foldable smartphone to launch soon. Xiaomi’s President and Co-founder Bin Lin recently showed off Xiaomi’s first foldable smartphone.
Huawei is set to launch its first 5G enabled foldable phone on February 24, 2019, at MWC 2019. The company has also confirmed that it will launch the Huawei P30 Series in Paris, France, on March 26th.
