Huawei today officially confirmed that it will soon launch the new Huawei Watch GT smartwatch in India. Huawei via its official twitter post teases the launch of its Huawei Watch GT in India which reads, It’s almost time! It’s metallic, it’s black, it’s awesome. #ComingSoon #OneChargeTwoWeeks. However, Huawei didn’t reveal an exact launch date for its Watch GT. Notably, the Huawei Watch GT smartwatch was long awaited since it launched back in October, last year.
Huawei also didn’t share any pricing details for India. However, the Huawei Watch GT is currently selling in the US at $229.99, which is (around Rs 16,000). However, due to various Taxes, the smartwatch could be priced slightly higher in India.
The Huawei Watch GT features a 1.39-inch AMOLED display and is just 10.6mm thick. Huawei claims that the Watch GT can provide up to two weeks of battery life on a single charge. The Watch can even provide battery life up to 30 days on a single charge if you use it switching off the heart rate sensor and use this for mirroring notifications from your smartphone.
The watch features TruSeen 3.0 heart rate monitoring technology, which has algorithms that learn a user’s specific habits over time. The watch can also be used to track your sleeping habits. Notably, the Huawei Watch GT will be the third wearable to be released in India this year.
