Nokia 9 PureView Receives First Software Update in the US with March Security Patch

Nokia 9 PureView has now started receiving its major software up in the US. Notably, HMD Global last week announced its latest Nokia 9 PureView in the US. The device comes running Android 9 Pie with January security patch out of the box. However, the latest Nokia 9 PureView software update ads Android 9 pie version V4.19A and March 3 security patch.

The latest Android 9 Pie update for the Nokia 9 PureView weighs around 300MB in size and brings system stability and users interface enhancements. Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer, HMD Global while replying to a user also confirmed the update.

As you can see below, a Nokia 9 PureView user Giovaηi on Twitter also confirmed the update he received on his device.

In a second tweet, Giovaηi also reported that when he received the update notification on his mobile, it was showing the security patch level to March, as you can see below. However, when he restarted the device the security patch level changed to February. Now, we are not sure whether it was a kind of bug or anything else.

Notably, the Nokia 9 PureView is the most advanced and power packed smartphone HMD Global has ever made.

Nokia 9 PureView Specifications

The new Nokia 9 PureView features a PureDisplay 5.99” QHD+ pOLED display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Out of the box, the phone comes powered by a Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The Phone runs on Android 9 Pie.
