Xiaomi’s first Android Go edition smartphone the Redmi Go is set to go on its first sale in India Today. The Xiaomi Redmi Go will go on sale today at 12 noon, via Mi.com, Mi Home and Flipkart online stores. Redmi Go is an Android Go edition of the Xiaomi’s first entry-level smartphone. The device features a 5-inch LCD display with 1,280 x 720 resolution and (16:9) aspect ratio. It comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor and Adreno 308 GPU for gaming. The phone only has 1GB RAM with 8GB onboard storage with expandable storage support up to 128GB.
On the camera side, the Xiaomi Redmi Go smartphone sports a single 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera with AI.
The phone packs a 3,000mAh battery and it runs on Android 8.1 (Go Edition) out of the box. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.1, single band Wi-Fi, a MicroUSB port, and dual-SIM support. It also supports 4G LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 20, and 28.
The phone also comes with Google Assistant that according to the Xiaomi supports 20 India languages, including Hindi.
