According to folks at allaboutsamsung, Samsung has a quietly updated the update roadmap in the Samsung Members app for updating its various Galaxy device to the latest Android 9 Pie and list also includes the recently launched Samsung Galaxy M20. According to the updated roadmap, the Galaxy M20 will receive the Android 9 Pie update in September 2019 based on Samsung’s latest OneUI.
Notably, Samsung Galaxy M20 was launched earlier this year in January alongside Galaxy M10 in India. Both the devices were launched running Android 8.1 Oreo-based on Samsung Experience 9.5 UX.
Both the Samsung Galaxy M10 and M20 falls at around Rs. 10,000 price tag with a host of interesting features for that price.
The Galaxy M20 features a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) Infinity-V Display along with notch and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by an Exynos 7904 SoC, coupled with 3GB and 4GB RAM options and Mali-G71 MP2 GPU.
The device features a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.9 aperture and a 5-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. There is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with an f/2.0 aperture at the front. The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging through USB Type-C.
