Rune II the upcoming game that was previously known as Rune: Ragnarok is coming soon via Epic Games store. The Rune II listing can be seen on the official Epic Games store. However, it has an exact release date for the game and only says coming soon. The Epic Games listing describes the game as, ”RUNE II is an epic action RPG where gods, beasts, and the last remaining humans struggle to survive.”
The Epic Games description reveals that the Rune II takes place in a dangerous Norse universe during the end of days where you have been chosen by the gods to be Midgard’s savior. You receive Gods blessings and powerful abilities as you endeavor to end Ragnarok! Race against time to prevent the trickster Loki from destroying Midgard as he keeps the world in a perpetual state of chaos.

It also reveals that you will also be able to play single player or multiplayer with your friends. In the game, you battle with legions of Loki’s minions in brutal melee combat, travel the world collecting rare resources, locate precious artifacts to weaken the Realm Gate and craft the mightiest weapons the Nine Realms have ever seen.
Rune II official Twitter account also confirmed the PC launch of the game saying that the game is finalizing development and will launch worldwide on Windows PC later this summer
