Microsoft recently made some good announcement, especially for PC gamers. In March this year, Microsoft announced that the Halo: The Master Chief Collection including Halo: Reach will be coming to PC later this year, via Steam. In addition to this Microsoft has now announced that it will bring more than 20 Xbox Game Studios titles on Steam, starting with Gears of War 5 aka Gears 5 and all Age of Empires I, II & III: Definitive Editions. This means that the Gears of War fans finally has a good news, as the next installment of the Gears of War series and Age of Empires I, II & III: Definitive Editions will soon hit the Steam store for PC players.
Microsft says that it’s trying to provide more platform for PC players of their choice to buy their favorite games.
Our intent is to make our Xbox Game Studios PC games available in multiple stores, including our own Microsoft Store on Windows, at their launch. We believe you should have choice in where you buy your PC games.
We also know that there are other stores on PC, and we are working to enable more choice in which store you can find our Xbox Game Studios titles in the future.
