Nokia 1 users in India can finally taste the latest Android 9 Pie update on their device. Yes, HMD Global has now started rolling out the latest Android 9 Pie update for its Nokia 1 (Go edition), which was launched in India last year running on Android Oreo. Notably, Nokia has released the Android 9 Pie update to almost each of its devices. Now, the latest Android 9 Pie update is finally available for the Nokia 1 which is the last device in HMD Global’s portfolio to receive the Pie update.
If you want to download the update on your Nokia 1 (Go edition) device but haven’t yet received the update notification then you can simply head to your phone’s settings and can check manually for the update. If you still don’t see the update, then wait for some more time as an OTA update may take time to arrive on your device.
Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer, HMD Global today announced the Android 9 Pie update rolling out for the Nokia 1 via his official Twitter account. Juho noted that every Nokia smartphone including the most affordable Nokia 1 now running on the latest Android 9 Pie.

Nokia 1 (Go edition) was launched in India last. The phone is currently selling priced at Rs. 4,300 on Flipkart.
The Nokia 1 powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737M processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It features a 5-megapixel camera at the back. On the front, the handset has a 2-megapixel fixed focus camera. The phone supports 8GB of inbuilt storage which is also expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB).
