OnePlus TV to Have a Monitor Like Swivel Stand with Carbon Fiber Finish

OnePlus recently confirmed the name and the official logo for its first upcoming smart TV as OnePlus TV. The upcoming OnePlus TV is already in the production phase for a couple of months now and it is expected to be launched alongside the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro. Now, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has shared a new image that shows the swivel stand of the OnePlus TV from its rear.

The stand for the OnePlus TV appears to have a carbon fiber finish which matches with the rear design of the TV. The tweet from Pete Lau reads as ‘No detail is too small’. The swivel stand of the OnePlus TV seems appealing as users will be able to change the direction of the TV to their desired angle.

Earlier this month OnePlus revealed the remote for its OnePlus TV. The OnePlus TV remote comes with a really sleek and clean finish design. The remote features a USB-C port, a OnePlus button, a blank button, a Google Assistant button, and navigation buttons.

The OnePlus TV remote also has a side-mounted sleek button, but we are not sure what that button does. The presence of the USB Type-C hints that the remote will come with a chargeable battery that can be charged using the port.

As for the OnePlus TV, India launch is a concern, Lau in an interview with Economics Times recently said that the company is expecting to launch the OnePlus TV in India in 2020 and it will be available through Amazon. However, new reports are suggesting that the company will be holding an event on Sept. 26 to announce the OnePlus TV alongside the OnePlus 7T series.

Moreover, the OnePlus has so far confirmed that the OnePlus TV which will be launched in India will have a 55-inch 4K QLED display powered by a Gamma Color Magic image processor. While the U.S., Europe, and China, get the 75-inch and 65-inch editions.

The TV will feature eight speakers delivering 55W audio output along with Dolby Atmos support. The TV is expected to run on a custom edition of Android that will get Android TV updates for up to 3 years.

We will be sharing more details on the OnePlus TV as they become available.
