Fortnite Update v10.40.1 Patch Notes Brings New Out of Time Mission, Performance, Bug Fixes and More

Fortnite latest v10.40.1 patch update is now available to download on all platforms including Xbox One, PC and PS4. According to the Fortnite latest v10.40.1 Patch notes, it brings a new Out of Time Overtime Mission for end-of-Season rewards that include XP, cosmetics, and a commemorative Loading Screen. The Out of Time mission will be available from Tuesday, October 8 at 9 AM ET until Sunday, October 13 at 2 PM ET. Players will be able to earn XP, cosmetics, and a Loading Screen that serves as a Season X memento by completing the Out of Time’s objectives.

Notably, the Fortnite season X has been extended for a week that means that the Gotham City and the Batman Caped Crusader Pack will be available until the end of Season X.

Further, the latest Fortnite v10.40.1 patch update brings performance improvements by resolving a level streaming issue that occurred with v10.40 causing an increase in players landing in low-detail environments on Nintendo Switch.

Fortnite v10.40.1 patch update also improves the Party Hub search bar functionality to make it easier to search for friends on Mobile. There are much more added in this update to the game’s creative, save the world and general modes.
