Motorola on Wednesday launched it’s latest Motorola Razr (2019) foldable phone in the US. The new Motorola Razr looks like a traditional flip phone that launched years back. But there is a big change in the new device. The new Motorola Razr is more like a flip phone and it turns out to be a foldable smartphone that comes with a 6.2-inch Flexible and Foldable display and folds inside.
Motorola Razr also has a secondary Quick View external display on the rear panel to show you the incoming notifications, alerts, music, Google Assistant, and more. The rear panel also houses the main camera and there is fingerprint reader too on the front bottom chin.
Motorola Razr (2019) US Pricing and Availability
Motorola Razr in the US is priced at $1,499.99 (roughly Rs. 1,07,400) and it will go on sale exclusively via Verizon starting January 9, 2020. Pre-orders for the Motorola Razr will kick off December 26 this year.
Motorola is also taking registration for its newly launched Motorola Razr via its Motorola India website for the device. That means, the new Motorola Razr will also be coming to in India, however, there is no exact date has been announced yet.
Motorola Razr (2019) Specifications and Features
The new Motorola Razr (2019) looks almost identical to the original Moto Razr phone with its curved bottom chin and revamped specs and foldable display. Motorola Razr features a 6.2-inch flexible OLED HD+ (876×2142 pixels) display with 21:9 aspect ratio.
According to Motorola, you won’t find any gap between the display when it is folded. There is a 2.7-inch (600×800 pixels) secondary Quick View display. The second display can be used to take selfies, view notifications, control music playback.
The new Motorola Razr is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM. The phone runs the stock Android 9 Pie and packs a 2510mAh battery that also supports 15W fast charging tech. Additionally, there is a USB Type-C port, NFC support, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G LTE, and GPS. Motorola Razr 2019 is also IP68 water-resistant.
The Camera
The new Motorola Razr (2019) sports a single 16-megapixel camera on the rear panel that can also be used for taking selfies in the phone’s folded state. There is also a 5-megapixel placed at the front display notch.
