mAadhaar app is now more secure. the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has released a new version of its mAadhaar app for both Android and iOS. Notably, the mAadhaar app lets its user download Aadhaar their card, offline eKYC, show or scan QR code. It also lets users reprint, update their address and verify Aadhaar card on the app. Users can also check the status of various online requests.

Currently, the mAadhaar app supports 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Bengali, Odia, Urdu, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Gujarati, Punjabi, Marathi, and Assamese.

UIDAI says that the new version of the mAadhaar app is now more secure and in order to install the new version, users will need to remove the older version of the app on their phone.

Notably, the latest version of the mAadhaar app requires Android 5.0 and up and iOS 10.0 or later. You can download the latest version of mAadhaar app from both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

To use and get all the personalized Aadhaar services on their mobile. Users first need to register his/her Aadhaar Profile in the mAadhaar App. However, a resident with or without Aadhaar can install the App in their smartphones.

With the mAadhaar app users, can also lock or unlock their Aadhaar or Biometric Authentication. The mAadhaar app is also very useful when travelling through railway. You don’t need to carry your Aadhaar card to prove your identity.

You can show your profile on the mAadhar app as a proof of identity for undertaking journey in any reserved class in Indian Railways trains.
