We didn’t see any new smartphones launch from Sony in the last few months. But seems like Sony is going to launch its next flagship device with 5GB support soon. While there are no official words on the specs for the Xperia 1 II from Sony yet. Twitter users Max Weinbach have shared full specifications and images of Sony’s upcoming smartphone called Xperia 1 II ahead of its expected launch this year.

Weinbach Yesterday tweeted that the upcoming Sony Xperia 1 II will feature a 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED display with 21:9 aspect ratio and Motion Blur Reduction technology that will be equivalent to 90Hz display screen. The specs sheet further reveals that Sony Xperia 1 II will come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB.

The Camera

The Sony Xperia 1 II will come featuring a quad rear camera setup housing a 12-megapixel primary sensor with dual-phase detection autofocus (dual PDAF) lens and optical image stabilisation (OIS) support. There will also be two other lenses including a 12-megapixel Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor and an autofocus (AF) lens.

Notably, the camera setup will be backed by Zeiss optics including features such as real-time Eye AF, up to 20fps AF/ AE tracking burst, and 60 times per second continuous AF/ AE calculation etc. Upfront there will be an  8-megapixel selfie camera. The phone will also feature 3.5mm headphone jack including front-firing stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio, audio integration, and a 360 Reality Audio technology.

Sony Xperia 1 II will also have a large 4000mAh battery with wireless charging support. The device will also come features such as in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC support and IP65/68-certified water-resistant build.

Sony Xperia 1 II will also feature some notable features for gaming such 21:9 gaming support, DualShock 4 direct connection support as well as Elite Gaming and Game Enhancer feature.

Notably, there is another device called the Sony Xperia 10 II which Sony also is expected to launch this year.
