Xiaomi rolled the Android 10 update for its Android One device the Mi A3 on February 29. However, the update was quite buggy which so many users reported about after they downloaded and installed the update on their Mi A3 devices.

Soon after the update rolled out, several Mi A3 users started reporting about several issues with the new release related to Fingerprint, System Calling, a number of Camera app issues, and more. The full list of known issues reported in the latest Android 10 update can be found here.

Mi A3 Android 10 Update Fingerprint Unlocking, UI and Other Issues and Solutions

One of the major issues encountered by several Mi A3 users after the latest Android 10 update was the fingerprint unlocking issue. Where the Lock Screen Fingerprint was unlocking without a press of the power button. A user called Sohel Ahmad shared a solution to this issue which you can find here. Sohel applied these tips on his device and found it fixing the Fingerprint unlocking issue.

Another possible fix you can find in the Mi forum post is related to a System Calling issue. Where after using Video Calling/ some apps, the system was sometimes rebooting in looping.

The page suggested trying Some factory reset as a solution to fix the System Calling issue on the Mi A3.

Android 10 Update for the Mi A3 Stopped or Lost Unexpectedly

These were not the only issues with the latest Android 10 update for the Mi A3. Several other users reported that there download for the Android 10 stopped or lost unexpectedly when they received the OTA notification or started to download the update.

You should note that after all these issues, Xiamoi pulled the latest Android 10 update for Mi A3 today. While replying to user’s query, Xiaomi support said that due to multiple errors in the update they have stopped the rollout of Android 10 for Mi A3.

So, if you found your download lost or stopped working that was because Xiaomi pulled the update rollout. Now, we don’t know when Xiamoi will again re-push the update for Mi A3 users.

I think the update won’t arrive again until Xiaomi fixes all of the above-known issues encountered by Mi A3 users with the latest Android 10 update.
