Windows 10 May 2020 Update 20H1 to Bring DirectX 12 Raytracing, FPS Counter to Game Bar and More

Microsoft is expected to release a new Windows 10 update, also known as Windows 10 Insider Preview Builds (20H1) this month. The update is most likely to arrive on May 26, 27, or 28th. However, Microsoft hasan’t confirmed a specific released date or timeframe yet. The upcoming Windows 10 update build 20H1 for May 2020 will be available to a number of users who have been part of the Microsoft Windows Insider Program.

Now, ahead of the release of the upcoming update. Microsoft has detailed all the big changes that will be part of the upcoming Windows 10 update for May 2020. With the upcoming update, users will be able to preview new DirectX 12 features, including DirectX Raytracing tier 1.1, Mesh Shader, and Sampler Feedback.

Microsft will also be adding some new features to the Xbox Game Bar including FPS counter and achievement overlay!. Notably, the game bar update will be available via Windows Store. You can access the Game Bar while gaming by pressing the WIN+G on your keyboard.

Further, the upcoming Windows 10 update for May will add GPU temperature in the taskbar. It also enables Windows Hello PIN in Safe Mode and adds four quick web searches to your Search Home:

The update will also add several changes to the Cortana app, Windows Subsystem for Linux, and enhanced support for multi-monitor configurations and kaomoji to WIN+(Semicolon) keyboard shortcut option.
