About 30 minutes of gameplay allegedly taken from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was leaked on YouTube on Sunday night, but moments later the video was taken down by Ubisoft.

The excerpt could be the content that would be shown during the Ubisoft presentation on July 12 and that would reveal various mechanics and features of the game. Using the female protagonist, the demo showed exploration on horseback in an arid location with a trail provided by the HUD.

After a break for a fight with a pack, in the best style similar to The Witcher 3, Eivor rode for a long stretch, at which point the demo exhibited the same cinematic camera system with different angles similar to Red Dead Redemption 2.

A sea battle was also shown during a storm and hand-to-hand combat on land, using axes and incendiary arrows. Eivor was still helping her soldiers strike a battering ram against the enemy gate to invade their base. Finally, screens of the character’s Skill Tree and Inventory were displayed.

Not surprisingly, but the gameplay looks – unsurprisingly – that of Origins and Odyssey, the latest winning formula in the Assassin’s Creed saga. There are still some notable differences, such as the lack of a minimap to help the player navigate.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has a confirmed release window from November to December 2020, with versions for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, PC and Stadia.
