Earlier today we reported about a new leak which potentially revealed Far Cry 6 Release Date, Plot, and other details about the upcoming game. The leak was spotted on the PlayStation Store Hong Kong website by a twitter user named anjohn0422.
Interestingly, Ubisoft was quick enough and acknowledged the recent Far Cry 6 leak in a short twitter teaser featuring antagonist Anton Castillo, played by Giancarlo Esposito.

The PlayStation Store Hong Kong listing reveals that the Far Cry 6 will launch on PlayStation 4 on February 18, 2021. However, the game will also be available on PS5 when it finally launches later this year.
Far Cry 6 will support free upgrade to PS5
Now, another interesting detail that we got today is that the PS4 versions of the Far Cry 6 will support free upgrade to PS5 console at no additional cost.
According to twitter user @AlexRichards65 who shared a couple of leaked screenshots (see below) from the Far Cry 6 PS Store listing. If you buy a PS4 copy of the Far Cry 6 digitally or on disc and later upgrade to PS5 then you will be able to play that copy of the game on the PS5 taking advantage of all of its enhancements at no additional cost.
Also, the PS5 version comes as a free upgrade, so you’ll only need to buy the game once anyway. pic.twitter.com/x0RYkbPj0M

To recall, Sony has already confirmed several PS4 games including Cyberpunk 2077, Marvel’s Avengers that will support free upgraded to PS5 at launch with no additional cost.
Further, another tweet from Alex says that the Far Cry 6 will also come with both Multiplayer and Singleplayer modes gameplay support. But, since nothing has come officially yet, we will have to wait for Ubisoft Forward digital event scheduled to take place on July 12.
