Marvel’s Avengers Beta Content and Post Launch Details Revealed

Lots of new information about Marvel’s Avengers has surfaced. The responsible developers of Crystal Dynamics provide new details about the beta content and the first post-launch plans.

Last night, Square Enix and the responsible developers at Crystal Dynamics hosted the second War Table live stream for the upcoming action title Marvel’s Avengers to reveal some new information about the upcoming beta.

Among other things, players will be able to enjoy multiple single-player missions, including a large selection of additional missions that can be played alone with AI comrades. Alternatively, you can experience these missions with up to four players in a cooperative multiplayer.

One of the missions will take on the role of Kamala Khan and, together with Hulk, infiltrate the AIM base in the forests of the Pacific Northwest in the United States to investigate JARVIS’ last known position. Later, they will board a Quinjet to travel to a war zone on the Russian tundra and uncover some SHIELD secrets.

Beta Dates for Marvel’s Avengers:

  • August 7 to August 9: only for pre-orders on PlayStation 4
  • August 14 to August 16: Open Beta for all PlayStation 4 users, Closed Beta for all pre-orders on PC and Xbox One
  • August 21 to August 23: Open beta for all PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC users

The developers also revealed some new details about the post-launch plans for Marvel’s Avengers. It also revealed the first character to be brought into play as a free DLC.

It is Clint Barton, most of whom may also be known as Hawkeye. He also gets an original story inspired by some of the most famous Hawkeye moments from the comic book template. You’ll also use the iconic high-tech bow and trick arrows for which the superhero is famous. His story will continue to advance the story of Marvel’s Avengers, with all-new missions available with the full roster of playable heroes.

More information on the post-launch content, which should also include a new villain and other content related to the Hawkeye story, will be revealed soon.

Marvel’s Avengers will release on September 4, 2020, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. For the Christmas season, a PlayStation 5 and an Xbox Series X version will also be released.
