OnePlus has officially launched its most affordable smartphone the all-new OnePlus Nord in India. OnePlus has also launched its first true-wireless earbuds called the OnePlus Buds in the country. Now, when the OnePlus Nord is officially launched, we now have the full details for the device including the price, specifications, features and the availability date in India. Let’s start with the company’s most ambitious and affordable OnePlus Nord smartphone.

OnePlus Nord Key Highlights

The biggest highlights of the OnePlus Nord is definitely going to be its pricing, but let’s first talk about the specs that you would get with the device at that price. As its biggest highlights, the OnePlus Nord comes with quad (four) rear camera setup, featuring a main 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor as seen on the OnePlus 8. OnePlus claims the camera on the Nord to deliver a flagship level of camera experience. The phone also features a dual hole-punch selfie camera at the front, that includes a main 32-megapixel sensor and can also record selfies at 4K/6FPS.

OnePlus Nord also comes with 90 Hz Fluid Display, up to 12GB, Warp Charge 30T, Snapdragon 765G 5G ready SoC, that’s I think would make the OnePlus Nord the cheapest 5G phone in the market. Further, the OnePlus Nord also has OnePlus’ iconic Alert Slider on the right side edge of the device.

OnePlus Nord Specifications

OnePlus Nord features a 6.44-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) Fluid AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate at 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone runs on Android 10-based OxygenOS 10.5 out of the box and comes in three didn’t RAM, storage and colour variants.

The display of the phone is also protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and it supports features including Night Mode, Reading Mode, and Video Enhancer. OnePlus Nord is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G ready SoC, paired with Adreno 620 GPU and up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM. The phone packs a 4,115mAh battery that also supports Warp Charge 30T fast charging.

The Camera

OnePlus Nord sports a quad rear camera setup with a main 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor as seen on the OnePlus 8. There is also an 8-megapixel secondary sensor a 2-megapixel macro shooter and a 5-megapixel depth shooter.

At the front, the phone has a dual punch-hole selfie camera including a main 32-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary ultra-wide-angle lens.

OnePlus Nord Camera Features

OnePlus Nord camera features include UltraShot HDR, Nightscape, Super Macro, Portrait, Pro Mode, Panorama, AI scene detection, RAW Image, and Ultra-Wide Selfie.

With the rear camera, you can also record 4K videos at 30FPS, or 1080p videos at 30 or 60fps. You also get the option of capturing the super slow-motion videos at 240fps and time-lapse shots at 4K and 1080p resolutions at 30fps frame rate.

OnePlus Nord’s 32MP primary front camera can also capture videos at 4K, 60fps.

OnePlus Nord Price in India and Availability

Now comes the most interesting part that we all have been waiting for and that’s the price of the OnePlus Nord. Trust me, OnePlus has really surprised me with the price of the new device. The OnePlus Nord price in India starts at just Rs. 24,999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant that is exclusive to the country.

While the 8GB + 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 27,999 and the top-of-the-line, 12GB + 256GB storage model is priced at Rs. 29,999. The phone will be available in only two colour options Blue Marble and Gray Onyx.

The new OnePlus Nord will be available for purchase in India through Amazon and starting August 4. However, only the 8GB and 12GB RAM variants will be available to purchase initially. While you will be able to purcahse the 6GB + 64GB variant in September through an open sale from day one.

Buyers will also get Rs. 2,000 discount on purchasing the OnePlus Nord using their American Express card.
