Dirt 5 Delayed But Slightly By a Week

Dirt 5 has been delayed and now the game will come onto the market later than previously planned. However, the delay is very limited. Fans have to wait a week longer for the launch. Codemasters announced this in a tweet.

Codemasters announced today on Twitter that Dirt 5 will release a little later than previously planned. There was a shift. Before you prepare for a significantly longer waiting time, note that the delay took place by the week, so that your patience is only put to the test a few days longer.

The new date has already been revealed: instead of October 9, 2020, as previously planned, the launch will take place on October 16, 2020. The versions for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC will be released on this day. The so-called Amplified Edition, which includes early access, is an exception. It will be launched on October 13, 2020.

The Dirt 5 launch will also take place for the next-gen consoles. The Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 versions will follow later in the year. More precise information is apparently dependent on the release announcements of the console manufacturers.

The racing game is one of the titles that support Microsoft’s Xbox Smart Delivery and PlayStation’s Free Upgrade program. This means that when you change consoles you don’t have to buy Dirt 5 a second time. The Google Stadia version won’t hit the market until next year.

Reasons for the delay were not given in today’s tweet from Codemasters. There it simply says: “THANK YOU for all your support and excitement so far – we still have so much more to show you…”
