The Last of Us Part II Update v1.05 Patch Notes Brings Grounded Difficulty, Permadeath Mode and More

Seems like Naughty Dog wants to celebrate the great success of its recently launched The Last of Us Part II game. The developer has some great new stuff coming straight to game as a new update that will be available on August 13 (Tomorrow) for The Last of Us Part II. Naughty Dog has announced that they have prepared a new update that will see a patch v1.05 on PS4 and will bring new features, new gameplay modes, Trophies, and the much-requested Grounded difficulty.

Permadeath Mode

The upcoming The Last of Us Part II update v1.05 patch will also bring a brand new custom mode called Permadeath to further add an additional challenge to the game. In order to complete your task, you can choose to enable Permadeath mode with checkpoints on a per-chapter or per-act basis. Once the Permadeath mode enabled you must you must have to complete the entire game without dying or start over from the beginning.

New Trophies

Naughty Dog is calling the upcoming update as Grounded update and it will bring along two new Trophies: one for completing the game with any Permadeath mode enabled and another for beating it on Grounded difficulty.

New Unlockable Gameplay Modifiers
